Being fit is different from being healthy. When you are fit you can do more physically demanding things in your life, like go for a long walk, bike ride, play 'in' a sports game, or paddle on a canoe trip. It could include carrying a child or loved one on your back for a long walk. A happy life requires having strength to do what you physically want and need to get done. Someday it could save your life or that of a loved one if, for example, you have to 'sprint' to get out of the way of a moving car.
Fitness comes with the benefit of being slim and trim too.
You don't have to have a gym membership to get fit. However, it does take a little time, effort, and willpower. Just keep it fun!
