Children and grandchildren often have educational needs.

I know that when it came to money for my college costs, my parents did not have the financial ability to pay my way.  So I joined the Navy, used my Navy education benefits, and worked myself through college.  It was very hard, but I wanted that degree, and I got it, with honors! 

Only a few people have the financial ability to pay for the entire cost of college without a problem. Most people can only pay for a part of it, and some people can't pay for any of it.
